Reading for better mental health

“It gives you a sense of hope for the world”Dale, Shared Reading participant.

In a shared reading group, everybody’s unique story is acknowledged.

You are welcomed at any stage of your recovery and invited to participate in a way that suits you and what you need.

We reflect on stories that reveal how your individual journey connects to our shared humanity.

In our groups, you will discover:

  • that your story matters.
  • the wisdom and inspiration to be found in great stories.

Our unique framework and approach have lasting benefits for health and wellbeing including:

  • enhanced feelings of confidence and self-worth
  • new relationships and social connections
  • improved feelings of independence
  • Increased self-awareness and awareness of others
  • personal growth and inspiration
